The Surgery Is Over

We just talked to the surgeon. He said the surgery couldn't have gone better. Abi has been already transferred to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. They are getting her settled down and we will go see her.

Due to bleeding they decided to leave her chest opened so she will be sedated untill they close her up. They will try to do that on Friday. Then they will wake her up. If she's doing fine they will try to take her off the ventilator on Monday.

The prognosis are good and they have already noticed some improvment with the leaky valve which is on the non systemic side right now. There's a chance it will improve further.

We are off to see our baby girl. More soon

  3. Praise God! I hope these next couple of days you guys can get some rest while she is sedated and being cared for by the world's highest paid/best trained babysitters (CICU nurses). I am sure your emotions have been such a roller coaster.

  6. You've got some long-distance prayers coming to you from Canada, too. I'm sure it's been the hardest day of your life but we've all been there with you, hoping and praying, and will continue to.

  7. God's love is so wonderfully abundant! Take time to rest in His arms and be renewed & refreshed. I pray triple measures of rest for you both and for Abi's medical team. (3 hours rest for every hour of sleep) I saw His heavenly hands touching her heart in more than the physical. Something special was placed there just for her. It will incubate and manifest when she's a little older.
